Who we are
As experienced fostering social workers, we knew that the majority (72%) of children in care were looked after by foster carers and that the more stable and settled a child’s time in foster care had been, the more likely it was that their outcomes will be good.
We found that good matching between children, young people and foster carers played a central role in ensuring that fostered children had a successful and secure experience and in turn, ensured that carers were are more likely to continue fostering.
Due to the huge shortage of foster carers, in 2005 we created Simply Fostering.
Since then we’ve had the privilege to see many of our enquirers become successful foster carers and fostering families.
We Embrace Everyone: We embrace all cultures, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, perspectives, and ways of thinking. The feedback we get inspires the way we work towards care for everyone, helping them to go on to reach their potential.
Impact: Our success demonstrates the power of creative thinking, shared values and collective effort to effect positive, change and deliver choice for our enquirers, foster children, fostering families and foster care organisations.
Commitment: We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. We are committed to being a part of growing the UK pool of foster carers who can provide child safe family environments where children and young people are safe, feel safe, and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives.
