Friday’s Fostering Blog
We made it! We made it through the week – and just about it one piece. And that is enough! I will enjoy this feeling for now – that we actually had a positive week at school. No major dramas or crisis, no illness, no forgotten planners or lunches and surprisingly no appointments or social worker visits.
I tried my best to catch up with household paperwork (it can often be left to mount up a bit) as well as updating the family calendar with school dates, medical appointments and after school clubs. I have booked Charlie and I onto mandatory training with our fostering agency.
After catching up with a bit of cleaning I even managed to squeeze in a couple of episodes of a Netflix series I have been watching – felt rather indulgent during the day!!
We now have a fairly quiet weekend ahead. Charlie plans to resume his “daddy-daughter” dates at the local coffee shop much to the delight of the girls. Now the only problem is who gets the first turn!!
